Life As We Know It
Wow. How long has it been since I’ve visited this little corner of the internet? Almost a year. That’s how long. Wow, wow, wow. Amidst all the chaos of well, life with two three year old boys, I’ve admittedly neglected this space. And to be honest, I feel a little disappointed in myself that I… Continue reading

Boys Will Be Boys
I have two boys. I am a girl. Save for the occasional time they to pretend they’re carrying a purse, my two boys are ALL boy, ALL the time. As a girly girl, and the only girl in my house, I find a lot of their behaviors unrelatable. Summer is coming in hot (no pun… Continue reading

On the Road Again
The boys are no strangers to a road trip, whether it be a “quick” drive to O’Fallon (using the quotes because it’s still at least 5 hrs traveling with toddlers), or a long haul to Florida (which we have survived, twice). I don’t mean to brag, but I’d like to think that after logging what… Continue reading

Are the Twos Terrible, Or Am I?
I haven’t written a post in a while because I have felt pretty uninspired lately. My creative juices just haven’t been flowing like they used to, and I’m attributing that to the twos–specifically my two who are two. Perhaps my creativity (and overall energy) is zapped because I spend the better part of my day… Continue reading

Twin Hacks
I’m a sucker for a good life hack. Discover a trick to organizing shoes (to make more room for me to buy more)? I’m all ears. Uncover a ground-breaking way to make the laundry process more efficient? Lay it on me. Have a clever technique to fold the tortilla with all its contents perfectly? Let… Continue reading

Resolutions
What’s your New Year’s resolution? Holy loaded question, right? Obviously mine is not publishing a blog post on the first of every month because it’s January 9th, and here we are. In my former life, I was a teacher. I set my goals at the beginning of the school year. The timing just felt right–new… Continue reading

Merry Christmas, Ya Filthy Animals
Last weekend, Ryan and I spent the night downtown for our annual day of Christmas shopping. What started as a casual, “hey let’s take the day off and go downtown for the hell of it,” when we were first dating, has turned into a tradition that I look forward to every Christmas. Maybe because, like… Continue reading

Flawless
I was almost six years old when my sister, Alexi (aka Flawless), was born. And I was pumped. I wanted a baby sister like no other; wished on stars, asked Santa a few times, and even maybe used some of my birthday wishes when I blew out my candles, too. I mean, really, how lucky… Continue reading

Monthly Dose of Oxygen: Part 2
The days are long, but the years are short. How many times have we heard this as parents? I know the time flies by; it already is unfathomable that the boys are almost 2.5 years old. Which means they’re basically three…in which case, they might as well be teenagers studying for their driving tests and… Continue reading

No, I Didn’t. And That’s Ok.
I took the boys to Target the other day. Before I go any further, let me paint that picture for ya. Well, first, I would be out of my mind if I let both boys walk on their own (it would take forever and I don’t want them to ruin the sanctity of Target for… Continue reading
About Me
Hi! I’m Cassie I originally started this account as a way to answer the question, “Twins! How do you do it?!” but those twins I mentioned are starting pre-school in the fall, so I’ll have some free time. A former teacher, I have always loved clothes, putting outfits together, finding a good deal, and picking up style tips. Now that the world is my oyster with this newfound freedom, I’m feeling an urge to explore my creativity in that area. I hope you’ll follow along, and invite your friends!
